Hockey4All and The Hockey Foundation have prepared a gear donation for Irish Ice Hockey. The program was developed by Hockey4All and The Hockey Foundation and is backed by the Irish Ice Hockey Federation (IIHA) to help build and develop hockey in Ireland and their growing number of youth and adult players.
The Hockey Foundation and Hockey4All have prepared 600 pieces of equipment, pucks and other coaching aids to be shipped to Dublin, Ireland. This gear includes skates, helmets, gloves, shoulder pads, pants and totaling around 80 full sets of gear to help accommodate their developing number of youth players joining the sport. With the growing number of adult players in Ireland, our pallets also included some adult gear.
Unfortunately, Ireland is the only major European country that does not currently have an ice rink so it makes developing hockey programs very difficult. However, Hockey4All and ARV Ventures have developed a plan for getting an ice rink started in Dublin, Ireland. Our organizations are invested in the longevity of these organizations and making sure a country is successful in developing it’s hockey programs. The rink build is not included in this cause and is a long term project handled in conjunction with this project.
